Medical Training

Mark Felton is a consultant ENT surgeon at the London Evelina Hospital, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. His career began with an undergraduate education at the University of Leeds where he graduated with an Honours degree in Anatomy, before receiving his medical degree.

His specialist otolaryngology training was in Manchester, leading to recognition on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register of Otolaryngologists. His research interests include the effects of cochlear implantation on balance, leading to the award of an M.D. He is active in medical teaching, and as such has completed a Masters degree in Medical Education.

Fellowship training

Mr Felton is one of a small group of UK otolaryngologists to have completed a paediatric ENT fellowship in North America. This was based at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and provided extensive training in the management of children's ENT diseases. His main focuses are ear disease (otology), and disorders of the adenoids and tonsils in children and adults.

International Recognition

Mr Felton has presented at numerous international conferences including the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He has published extensively in the field of otolaryngology and has additionally authored book chapters on neck lumps in children.

Professional Affiliations

Mr Felton holds membership of the British Association of Otorhinolaryngologists, the British Association for Paediatric Otolaryngology, the British Society of Otology and the Royal College of Surgeons UK.
